The 1997 40th
anniversary of the BMW 600, and the 20th anniversary of the
Isetta Club Ev. (Germany) was held at
Störy Microcar Museum at Bockenem near Hannover in Germany and a 'few' of
the BMW 600s, 700s, Isettas and other micros are pictured during the run-out to
a picturesque restaurant. (photo, Uli u. Helga Woitkowski, Isetta Club Ev.) Some
of the 30 BMW 600s that made it to the anniversary rally, I'm the long-haired
'Micro-naut' second from the right. I drove my '59 Euro' spec. sunroof 600 with
Alan Town in his '58 American spec. and Mike Shepherd in his Heinkel (Ireland)
cabrio, also there were 600 owners Roger Barker (Isetta Owners Club), and Roger
Bentley (Micromaniacs) who took his 3-wheel 300 Isetta. I won the long distance
award and I was the fastest through the police radar speed-trap, even though I
was two-up, sunroof open and with my Welsh flag fluttering on the side! (I have
a slightly 'breathed-on' 700cc engine with twin Keihin carburettors off a 4-cyl
750cc Kawasaki).(photo, Jutta Beyer-Vollprecht, Isetta Club Ev. )

way to the excellent DWAC (Dutch Microcar Club) rally. (photo, Chop)
